The original work was composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff, a world-renowned pianist, composer, and conductor of the 20th century. It was inspired partly by his strong Russian national sentiments and partly by the socio-economic and political influences of the time. The Russian nation was historically an oppressed and enslaved people, living in poverty and repression, which gave a sad tone to Russian folk music. It was with this sense of national responsibility that Rachmaninoff reflected in his artistic creations the people's struggle for happiness.

The most characteristic features of his compositions are the contrast between the march style and the soothing style of melody, the collision of traditional and modern harmonies, the combination of Russian singing melodies and folk dance rhythms, and the fusion of prodigalism, which gives a great variety of ideas and feelings and performance techniques, making an outstanding contribution to the piano technique of the 20th century.
