Georgi Videnov's career has taken him to prestigious concert halls around the world. From Carnegie Hall in North America to Suntory Hall in Asia, from the Elbe Philharmonic Orchestra in Europe to the National Theatre in Accra, Africa. Whether working with symphonic orchestras or other forms of repertory groups, or collaborating with composers to create new repertoire for solo percussion and participate in educational activities.Georgi strives to bring the different musical colors of percussion to audiences while inspiring an appreciation for it.
Under the direction of renowned conductors ZhongXu and Xieyang Chen, in 2022,Georgi begins his fifth season as Principal Percussionist / Timpanist with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. As an orchestral musician, he has performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Hyogo Arts Center Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, Macau Orchestra, and Shanghai Opera House Orchestra. He has also worked with many renowned conductors.
He is currently a member of The Percussion Collective, an ensemble dedicated to the exquisite performance of contemporary percussion repertoire, and also teaches at the Soochow University Conservatory of Music. He received his Master of Music (MM) and Master of Musical Arts (MMA) degrees from the Yale School of Music and his Bachelor of Music (BM) from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University under the direction of renowned percussionist Professor Robert van Sice.
